Study On The Develoment Of Border Trade Through Erlian China And Zamyn-Uud Mongolia

Mongolian one of the most important neighbour is China.Also,the borderline between them is the longest for Mongolia.Trade between Mongolia and China many years of historical value.Since two countries are neighbours,border trade is fundamental to the trade development.Export of natural resource has huge impact on Mongolian economy.Erlian and Zamyn-Uud port plays main role among the other ports,for mining product export.But advancement of Erlian left behind Zamyn-Uud.By increasing trade between two ports,Zamyn-Uud can catch up with Erlian.But because of certain obstacles in Zamyn-Uud,trade is not being up to the point.This paper based on the review on border trading development between China and Mongolia,and the detailed analysis of border trade process between Erlian port and Zamyn-Uud port.The aim of this paper is to propose the way to develop the trade between Erlian and Zamyn-Uud,using theories related to border trade,geoeconomic and FTZ(Free Trade Zone).Also analyse export and import potential between Erlian and Zamyn-Uud,using R statistical software.The analysis of border trade between Erlian and Zamyn-Uud,pointed out that certain issues exist in trading processes between those two regions.For example,Mongolia the border trade politics and regulations changeable,the infrastructure must be improved,and the scope of export is small-few types of commodity trade etc.These factors impeding the development of bilateral border trade.By viewing the current problems in border trade between Erlian and Zamyn-Uud,the following countermeasures are put forward:Suggestion for Zamyn-Uud port to increase the establishment and build FTZ;Constantly improve the Zamyn-Uud infrastructure construction;Strengthen cooperation between the local regional governments;Cooperation between China and Mongolia,promote development of Erlian and Zamyn-Uud port's border trade etc.Finally,based on the above analysis,the following conclusions was reached:"Though,certain problems exists for border trade at the ports of Erlian and Zamyn-Uud,if two sides cooperate for reasonable solution,Mongolians has to take good measures for Zamyn-Uud FTZ including infrastructure construction and keep the briad prospects for development,the border trade will expand its capacity".
