This research is about optimization of company's procurement activities in different supply chain structure. The first part is independent decision-making and the second part is centralized decision-making.In the first part,an integrated optimization model of lot-sizing decision and supplier selection was formulated considering the buyer's continuous demand.A buyer selected suppliers who provided different price quantity discounts to realize continuous delivery and determine optimal deliver quantities from suppliers. The inventory holding cost at suppliers was increased due to continuous delivery and the cost was related to relationship management cost.Genetic algorithm was designed to solve the model and the penalty function was used to handle the constraint of prohibiting stock-out.A case study is given to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the model and solution in practice. In the second part, synchronised operation mode combined with inventory optimization in a multi-echellon serial system was studied. The rules of inventory update were added into the synchronised operation mode proposed by Ciancimino and Cannella, and the cost accounting method of SSC's single period operation was proposed.Made the single period of SSC cost function as the objective function to obtain the optimal safety stock factor at every level and the optimal inventory settings of SSC.By an example simulating the actual operation of traditional supply chain and SSC for a more detailed time operation data and then using the supply chain evaluation index compared and analyzed the two supply chain.Confirmed the superiority of SSC combining with inventory optimization eventually.
