| This research is an attempt to investigate concerns with the effect of investment China engages in Latin America.China has increased its presence in Latin America from the past decades and is now positioning itself as a competitive trade partner in the region.The Asian nation covets oil,soybeans,gold and others of which Latin America has plenty,and has been steadily increasing its trade with several countries there.After decades of devastating economic crises,Latin America is experiencing unprecedented growth.But although China's investments are not limited to natural resources and are diversified,the investments have had an impact in the social area.Most of the Chinese investments in Latin America are developed in the sectors of energy and metal,which requires a great effort and damage to the environment.Environmental friendly investments are more profitable they aim to guarantee the future of investments itself.Other researchers solutions to investment problems has been focused specifically in the strategies,methods and approaches of investments which are rarely linked to our environmental protection.According to the old tendencies of investments in Latin America,this research proposes a different approach focusing primarily in the environment.Using local and national data,this study was designed to investigate which are the most important changes that can motivate future investment to help future relations with Latin America by means of descriptive and analytical approach.This thesis first gathered information to describe the economic relationship between China and Latin America,and goes through Chinese investments in Latin America according to relevant countries and areas of investments,analyzing and comparing the investment.It was concluded that impact investing is the twist that need to be made by Chinese investors in Latin America and also a change in the Educational system including the social responsibility towards our surroundings to help set the mind of our future investors. |
