With the development of the capital market in our country and the disclosure of the senior executive compensation, a lot of people pay attention to the incentive problem of the executives. The trend to the separation of ownership and operation from the company perspective, the company senior executive compensation incentive and restraint mechanism has become the core content of corporate governance. Under this background , this article adopted normative analysis and empirical analysis,drawing lessons from the domestic and foreign existing research results and methods, and combined with the actual situations and practical problems of information industry in our country to research the relationship between the senior executive compensation and corporate performance, considering a comprehensive performance from the four aspects of the earnings index,risk index and growth ability index to study the influence factors of senior executive compensation In the empirical part, firstly, this article picks up data information industry companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges between 2011 and 2014. Secondly, using the descriptive analysis of executive compensation and performance indicators, we can preliminary get the executive compensation status and linear relationship with variables. Then, considering the possible multicollinearity among variables, we use the method of Stepwise regression and Lasso regression to study and analyze the executive compensation and performance of listed Companies in the information industry. The empirical results show that there is a correlation between the senior executive compensation and the performance indicators of the current period, but also related to the performance indicators of the previous period, especially with profitability indicators and scale indicators were significantly positively correlated. Therefore, it is of some reference significance for the listed companies to develop effective incentive mechanism.
