Excavation And Utilization Of "Local Knowledge" In The Background Of Ethnic Tourism

During the booming development of the tourism industry in the 21st century,the "local knowledge" possessed by different ethnic groups not only met people ' s demand for multiculturalism in the era of globalization,but also became the cornerstone of tourism development in related areas.And some tourism agencies or enterprises,inevitably adopt a"universal " mindset and approach for developing the tourist destinations with various ecosystems and ethnic culture.The "local knowledge" of heterogeneity possessed by all ethnic groups,is also unified and standardized under such guiding ideology,and even reorganized and replicated in tourist destinations of different nature.The current tourism development cannot escape the curse of its life cycle restrictions,which exactly lies at the heart of the problem.Huanggang Dongzhai is a tourist attraction located in Shuangjiang Town,Liping County,Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture.Nowadays,relevant departments and all sectors of the community are vigorously promoting the development of tourism.But at the beginning of the development,some of the conventional drawbacks with tourism development are gradually exposed,mainly in the relevant tourism theme positioning,tourism resources development,tourism products,and inadequate attention on the "local knowledge" grasped by the locals.For this reason,it becomes extremely urgent and important to explore,organize and study the "local knowledge" possessed by Huanggang villagers and explore how to utilize these knowledge and experience to the benefit of tourism development.In this study.it uses fieldwork method and anthropological theory,takeing Huanggang Dong village as a case,its "local knowledge" to conduct a comprehensive excavation,and analyze its rationality and scientific,make clear how that "knowledge" fit the development of mutual.In order to get rid of its life cycle constraints of the curse.Based on the above,the author divides the dissertation into the following sections:The first part mainly narrates the natural ecological environment and village history of Huanggang Dongzhai,and presents the unique environment of "local knowledge" in Huanggang Dongzhai,and also describes the current situation of tourism development.The second part focuses on the exploration and utilization of the "local knowledge" possessed by Huanggang Dong villagers.This part,which contains some important yet difficult points of this paper,covers Chapter 3,Chapter 4 and Chapter 5.By adopting the anthropologist Stewart' s approach of comparing the culture to a "cake",the Huanggang Dong villagers' "local knowledge" can be divided into local livelihood system,local customs system and local belief system.Based on this,the author comprehensively discusses the "local knowledge" on the "cake" basis and the role it played in the tourism development,to explore and use.The third part is based on the theory of intercultural interaction and cultural adaptation,analyzing the problems existing in the tourism development of Huanggang Dongzhai,and concluding that maintaining the steady state of the local "cultural ecological community" is to ensure the sustainable development of tourism.Finally,the author points out the issues that need to be avoided during the local tourism development with a hope that necessary preventive measures can be taken when Huanggang ushers in "mass tourism" era.
