With the implementation of a series of reform measures after the reform and opening up,China’s electricity industry over the years to maintain a high-speed development momentum for the sustained and rapid growth of the national economy has made important contributions.However,there are still some problems in electricity pricing,energy saving,power grid allocation and market reform.This paper will evaluate the development quality of the power industry in China from the perspective of total factor productivity.The existence and gravity of the above problems are demonstrated by influencing factor analysis.Based on the empirical research conclusion put forward some effective measures to improve the total factor productivity of the electric power industry in our country,to improve the quality and efficiency of the power industry reform,establish a sustainable,stable and healthy development of the electric power industry system is very important.This article has done the following specific work.1.This paper introduces the research background and significance of total factor productivity in power industry.The paper discusses the research results of relevant literature at home and abroad,and introduces the content arrangement and research method of this paper and finally pointed out the innovation of the article.2.This paper summarizes the theoretical and technical approaches related to the research topic which introduces the theory of total factor productivity and green total factor productivity,data envelope analysis and Malquist index analysis.3.In this paper,the GML index based on the SBM model is used to measure the total factor productivity index and its decomposition index under the environmental constraints of the 30 provinces in China.The results were analyzed from the national and regional perspectives.4.In this paper,the data regression model of panel data is established by means of GML index and its decomposition index which is used to analyze the effect of total factor productivity in power industry。5.In this paper,we use the empirical results to propose the policy Suggestions for improving the total factor productivity of the power industry in China.
