It is great significance for ensuring national energy security and achieving energy conservation and emission reduction targets to strengthen the force of marketing vehicle-used natural gas.However,in the last two years,The economic advantage of vehicle-used natural gas has been severely weakened because of the difference between oil price and natural gas price.At the same time,there has been a sharp slowdown in the growth of natural gas consumption,and even a stopped “gas to convert oil” step in the limited areas.In response to adverse changes in the price of oil related products,the National Development and Reform Commission two times adjusted the natural gas price,highlighting the cost advantage of vehicles-used natural gas.Under this background,the Jiangsu Petroleum Marketing Company needs to assess the market environment immediately,discern sensitively the policy guidance and change challenges to opportunities,to re-blossom the market vitality.This paper takes vehicle-used natural gas market in Nanjing as the research object.Starting with the development of Nanjing natural gas vehicle,consumption changes of Nanjing vehicle-used natural gas,natural gas price and the construction of fueling station in Nanjing,the development problems of Nanjing vehicle-used natural gas market are put forward including consumption’s slow growth,weakening of cost advantages,surprisingly few fueling station and its imbalance in network layout by taking advantage of data analysis based on the careful investigation of vehicle-used natural gas market’s development status in Nanjing;Next,stratagem for greening development,the trend of natural gas price and its price reform,the construction of natural gas pipelines,fueling stations’ network layout and subsidies to new energy are important factors affecting the popularization and application of vehicle-used natural gas through adopting field investigation method combined with literature metrology based on these problems.We further analysis five driving factors to the market including resources,competition,technology,policy,consumption;finally,according to the Nanjing city vehicle-used natural gas market’s situation,the government should strengthen the leading role of natural gas automobile industry policy,improve the relevant laws and regulations and standards and establish the linkage between natural gas and competitive energy price to pave the way for enterprises;Industry should follow the direction of the market,and actively adjust the business strategy and natural gas’s supplying structure,optimize the gas station network layout cooperating with government to meet the relevant requirements of potential customers.Meanwhile,the government and enterprises should work closely together to strengthen the approval process and the construction supervision of the filling stations,providing security for the safe supply of natural gas for vehicles.By the further study of the vehicle-used natural gas market in Nanjing,this paper argues that the current development of natural gas for the automobile although is being hampered by many international and domestic unfavorable factors,the development police of natural gas as a clean energy has not been changed,the vehicle-used natural gas market’s outlook is still vast.Enterprises should firmly establish market confidence,always understand the changes in the market,and actively adjust business strategy to win in adversity.
