With the constant improvement of the economy,the income gap among residents in China showing a trend of increasing,and the differences of human capital is one of the main reasons for causing the income gap between urban and rural areas.In the field of human capital research,the academic community is mainly focused on the perspective of education human capital,while ignoring another important human capital factor-health human capital.This paper focuses on the impact of health human capital to residents’ income.First of all,based on the previous research,explored the mechanism of health human capital influence on residents’ income and put forward three theoretical assumptions in this paper.Then,CFPS and China Health Statistics Yearbook data are used to describe the situation of health human capital,residents’ income and health human capital investment.In econometric analysis,data which from CFPS of year 2010,2012,2014 and Height,Body mass index,Self-evaluation of health are used to estimate the income effect of health human capital.The overall sample model results show that residents’ health is an important factor in increasing income.The income effect of health human capital is higher with high health condition under the same environment.Then,the data are classified into urban and rural group to compare the differences between urban and rural residents.The estimated result shows that the income effect of health human capital which acted to rural group is higher than urban group.At the same time,the sample are divided into three classes-east,central and west to compare the difference with different administrative region.The results display that the income effect of health human capital decline from eastern region to the western in turn.Health human capital acted different within city,country,eastern region,western region and middle region,which give an new inspiration to reduce the gap in wealth.In the end,suggestions are proposed according to the upper analysis result. |
