Study On The Devices Of Ride-Sharing Of Online-booking Cars Based On Prospect Theory

Recently,with the rise of national income,national disposable income and the quality of people’s life,China’s economy is experiencing a rapid growth.People now become more demanding in terms of food and clothing live line.Especially the popularity of private cars,which has convenient people a lot to travel,but has caused social problems at the meantime.For example,the severe urban traffic jams,high private cars empty loading rate,large energy consumptions as well as environmental pollutions,which aggravate the urban haze and also affect the quality of eco-environment as a result.With the appearance of car-hailing applications,such as Didi Go,UCAR,and YiDao,people can make online car-hailing appointment wherever and whenever they need through their smart phones.And there is an increasing number of people who are tend to use car-hailing apps when they have to go out.In order to effectively ease up traffic pressure and cope with resource wasting problem,a new mode——sharing online-booking cars,also called carpooling,comes into being.This mode could save a large amount of the social resources and is advantageous in realizing sustainable development.Present studies are mainly focus on taxi-sharing,route optimization and path matching,but rarely on the passenger’s decision-making behavior.Thus,based on prospect theory,this article studys the devices of sharing online-booking cars from the perspective of passenger mentality,which has widen a new view to study on this subject.First of all,this paper introduces the defination of sharing online-booking cars and its division modes,states its problems and applications at home and abroad and also makes a feasibility analysis at social and technical level.Furthermore,we illustrate the prospect theory,comprising the origin,basic contents,function model and its application.Through considering the passenger’s sophisticated mental factors when taking online-booking cars and calculating the comprehensive prospect value when passengers choose and choose not to share a ride,we can get the real travel devices that passengers may choose when book a car online.Finally,the cases study of this article indicate different devices that passengers may choose under different conditions when using online-booking cars.And this article is aim to provide theoretical support of sharing onlinebooking cars,so as to encourage more passengers to choose carpooling,reduce the empty loading rate and the waste of resources,ease the traffic pressure,and bring greater benefits to the society as a whole.
