China and Brunei are friendly neighbors, since the Tang Dynasty has maintained a good economic and trade relations. After the end of the Cold War, the total trade volume between the two countries has increased substantially. Both sides have imported and exported, and China's total exports and types of goods are increasing. In the 21st century,the economic and trade relations between the two countries have continued to develop,and the total bilateral trade and economic relations have grew as a whole. At present,China and Brunei's economic development are facing a grim situation. China's environmental pollution is becoming increasingly serious, the resource is drying up,industrial excess capacity, economic development is difficult to adapt to the requirements of the development of productive forces, the economic structure needs to be adjusted.Brunei's economic development almost entirely rely on oil and gas exports, the government is paying more and more attention to the promotion of international cooperation, the introduction of foreign capital and advanced technology to promote the development of the domestic economy towards diversification. China and Brunei have great complementarity in the economic structure, China's industrial technology is advanced, abundant funds, talent is strong, the market is broad. Brunei oil and gas resources are rich, and the government focused on supporting the development prospects of several major industries. The two countries in the oil and gas industry, agriculture,fisheries, moslem meal industry, tourism and other areas have a huge space for cooperation. The two governments have highly recognized to improve the level of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and strengthened the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries with great feasibility. However, it is very important to study the current situation, characteristics and existing problems of economic and trade cooperation between China and Brunei. It has a great significance to study the countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.The content of this paper is divided into four parts,the contents are as follows:The first part: Through the introduction and analysis of the situation of Brunei and national economy, the development of Brunei foreign trade, the economic and trade relations development process between China and Brunei from ancient times to the present , it is concluded that the development of China and Brunei economic and trade relations.The second part: This part introduces the current situation of economic and trade cooperation between China and Brunei, and analyzes the causes of this situation.Secondly, it elaborates the characteristics of economic and trade cooperation between China and Brunei. Finally, it analyzes the problems in the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.The third part: This part analyzes the main factors that affect the future development of China-Brunei economic and trade relations, namely, the relationship between China and ASEAN, the differences and cooperation between China and Brunei on the South China Sea issue, the influence factors of the other countries in the relations between the two countries, and their respective foreign economic development strategy.The fourth part: through the above analysis and discussion, to promote the development of China and Brunei economic and trade relations made recommendations,including the complementary advantages, to strengthen cooperation in various fields;analysis of cooperation in the specific issues, the development of targeted solutions ; And finally for the two countries economic and trade cooperation can be better development,providing a number of alternative development strategies.At present, China and Brunei economic and trade relations are developing in general,but there are still some areas that need improvement. Through the study of the current situation and problems of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, it is not only beneficial to promote the development of bilateral economic and trade relations, the economic development of the two countries is more conducive to the two sides in the process of economic development and transformation in Southeast Asia,identify their own positioning, clear development goals and direction for the two countries and the prosperity and development of Southeast Asia to make efforts...
