Housing problem has always been an important issue of people's livelihood in any country and region.It relates to the operation of the economy and the important stone of maintaining social stability.Today,the housing prices continue to jump up and the government's macro-control of the real estate market is still powerless.Social low-income groups in housing demand is still difficult to get comprehensive and effective protection.Although the market mechanism can make full use of social resources to provide a large number of commodity housing,but the income distribution gap still makes a problem that the commodity housing can not become the goods that everyone can enjoy.In recent years,China has gradually realized the need for the government to provide affordable housing.The report of the 18 th Party Congress clearly put forward to speed up the protection of housing system,focusing on increasing the construction of public rental housing,making it the main body of affordable housing system.On the other hand,in the Hong Kong area,the public rental system has been developed for more than 60 years and has formed a very perfect and mature public rental system.This article takes the Hong Kong and the Mainland public housing supply system as the object of study,focusing on comparative analysis to find differences of public rental system between Hong Kong and China Mainland China.And then analyze the deep causes for the different supply of the two places.Due to the vast territory of the mainland,the current provinces and regions of the public rental development model and policy are not the same.Therefore,this article will select Beijing and Nanjing as the representative city of the Mainland.After comparing and analyzing,the differences between the supply system of the two places and the characteristics of the supply system in Hongkong are summarized.On the basis of the comparison of the differences,this paper is to explore the causes of the differences between the two areas.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions for improving the public rental system based on the actual situation of the Mainland.
