With the "13th Five-Year Plan" introduced,national power industry work around the "clean energy" quickly.As the main component of the national power industry,thermal power plants need to improve the coal utilization rate which is the most important research topic.As the main basis to improve the utilization of coal,coal value has a certain influence with coal particle size.Many researches about coal value set coal size as 0.2mm,and they do not keep eyes on the relationship between particle size and value.Others still have problem cause incomplete size ladder although those have been improved.Therefore,this paper study the relationship between the size and value with the ladder which composed by eight similar size,and study the influence about plant cost.This paper studies the topic in following parts.First,based on the study of coal calorific value and its influencing factors,this paper designs the quality parameter detection scheme of the same coal sample under different granularity grades.Second,the experiment platform was set up to test the coal samples after p recision verification,and the experimental data were recorded.Third,the experim ental data were taken as the main research object,and the relationship between coal particle size and coal quality parameters was studied by means of function fitting and correlation analysis.Four,the economy of coal-fired power plant is analyzed and H plant is as the example.Based on the experimental analysis of this paper,the optimum selection of the pulverized coal-fired power plant is proposed.According to the experimental results,it is found that the coal size and the value are two factors which are significantly related,and there is a weak positive correlation between them.With the size decreases,the value will firstly appear a certain upward trend to reach a peak at a certain point;then its heat value will decline rapidly to a point where r each the valley;Its calorific value performance is not more stable relationship in the following particle size changes.The calorific value will fluctuate within a small range.And,the H plant will acheive the best gain under that the maximum size is 0.3mm.In this paper,coal particle size is added to the influence of coal calorific value as a variable,and the influence between coal calorific value and coal particle size is magnified.Similar size is suitable for the establishment of a continuous partic le size and calorific value.The research results provide a new grain size selection method for thermal power plant to use coal rationally and efficiently.It is a more scientific guidance of the production of thermal power plant operation.
