The Research On The Growth Of Agricultural Total Factor Productivity In Sichuan Province Based On SFA Model

As a large population and agricultural province in Western China,the development of agricultural industry,in Sichuan province,is not only related to the foundation of regional economic development,but also related to the stability of people's daily life.In recent years,the development of agriculture in Sichuan province is faced with the decline of the input of production factors,especially the factors of land and labor,as well as the decline of the input and output elasticity coefficient of agricultural factors.In order to ensure the sustainability and high quality of agricultural development in Sichuan Province,and to consolidate the foundation of the economic growth and social development of Sichuan province.the current agriculture in Sichuan province,according to the Solow economic growth theory,must carry on such a series of industrial transformation reform: gradually abandoning the original agricultural production and management mode,which depends on the extensive input of production factors,and more reliably on the growth of total factor productivity in agriculture,and creating the possibility of sustainable and rapid development of agriculture in Sichuan province.The dissertation calculates the total factor productivity growth of agriculture in Sichuan Province from 2001 to 2015,through the construction of the input and output index system of production factors,the collation of data,and the use of the stochastic frontier production function analysis model(SFA model).According to the results of empirical analysis,the total factor productivity growth of agriculture in Sichuan province increases by 128.55%,with an average annual growth rate of about 6.24%,during the investigation period.On the other hand,in the decomposition items of total factor productivity of agriculture,agricultural technological progress,with an average annual growth rate of 7.62%,is the main driving force for the growth of total factor productivity in agriculture in Sichuan province.Based on the results of the growth rate of agricultural total factor productivity in Sichuan province,we can find that the growth rate of total factor productivity of agriculture in Sichuan province is far higher than that of agricultural output in the period of investigation,which can effectively eliminate the negative impact,owing tothe reduce of the input factors of agricultural,on the industry development in the same period.The results show that there is a difference in the total factor productivity of agriculture in Sichuan province,the level of economic growth in Panxi characteristic economic zone is in the leading position in the province,and the difference between the growth rate of the region on the whole shows a tendency to spread.The results show that the main factor,which can effectively promote the growth of agricultural total factor productivity in Sichuan province,is the promotion degree of modern agricultural management mode,mainly including the mechanization level,scale level and technical level of agricultural production and management,and the internal structure of agriculture,the regional economic structure and the level of regional economic development is negatively correlated with the growth of agricultural total factor productivity in Sichuan province.According to the analysis results of the dissertation,the following main suggestions are put forward: scientifically guide and configure the agricultural factor market,rationally adjust the regional agricultural internal industrial structure,and continue to promote and improve the agricultural modernization mode of operation in Sichuan province.By taking effective measures to promote the growth of agricultural total factor productivity,we can not only find a favorable channel for the transformation of agricultural industry in Sichuan province,but also make the guarantee for the speed and quality of regional economic development.
