Accelerated promote the development of urbanization can absorb a large number of rural labor,optimize the structure of domestic consumption,then provide the strong endogenous motive force for our economic development.However,the government-led traditional extensive urbanization against market rules at present stage,it leads to industrial agglomeration and the population agglomeration are not synchronized,the development between population urbanization and land urbanization is not harmonious,and resources allocation is uneven distribution.At the same time,the conflict is aggravated between excess production capacity in China and overseas market space is limited,the traditional urbanization has been facing increasingly severe situation,and it is seriously restrict the economic and social development in our country,the transformation of urbanization is imminent.Under the background of insufficient domestic demand in China and shrinking the international market,expanding domestic demand and realizing the internal market and external market have strong connection have been played the decisive role for promoting urbanization transformation.the domestic and international market demand potential is the research perspective,and in this paper explore how to accelerate the urbanization transformation through the combination of theoretical research and empirical analysis.Theoretical studies have shown that the internal and external market demand potential can influence on the urbanization through the scale economy,technology spillover,structure upgrade and the connective effect of markets.Then based on the framework of new economic geography,this paper builds theoretical and econometric model to make a study on the effects of the international and domestic market and technology progress on urbanization of 283 ground and above cities using the method of system GMM during the year 2005~2014.The results find that,the effect of domestic market on urbanization is decreasing from east to west,and the effect in the western region is negative.The effects of international market and technology progress are largest in the central region,second in the west,and the minimum in the eastern region.Then,in order to further explore the influence of internal and external market demand for new urbanization,this paper improved the measurement method of technology progress,and used the method of FGLS to estimate the model.The estimated result is:the international market and the technology spillover of Interregional R&D can promote the new urbanization,while the domestic market and interregional communication technology spillover have obvious inhibitory effect.Finally,according to the results of the measurement in this paper,there are some different suggestions for different regions.The eastern cities should strengthen the cooperation with advanced enterprises to absorb experience of its technology research and talent training as soon as possible,improve the ability of independent innovation.this region should also accelerate the construction of social welfare system,stimulating effective demand increases,and then pull the industry development;In central city should be reasonable to introduce foreign direct investment,and use to undertake the eastern industrial transfer opportunities,accurate positioning regional industrial development direction and mode;In the western region should use the favorable opportunity of "silk road" and "Sea silk road" t to construct its industry,through the connectivity to promote the connection between domestic market and international market.
