Analyzing Currency By Ecological Philosophy

As a special value form of commodity,currency is playing an increasingly important role in market economy,and closely related to the survival and development process of humans.In this paper,through sorting and analyzing concepts relevant to ecology and currency,currency was looked upon in the dimension of ecological philosophy,and the function and influence of currency in economic ecosystem and social ecosystem were analyzed.In economic ecosystem,currency was analyzed in aspects of five functions including measure value,means of circulation,means of hoarding,means of payment and universal money.When the function of measure value is executed,currency is used to measure commodity,labor and energy.When the function of means of circulation is executed,currency circulation realizes energy flow.Commodity circulation is the commodity exchange mediated by currency,and the circulation of commodities in capitalism market has stipulated the direction of energy flow.In economic ecosystem,people's energy distribution is realized by currency.When the function of means of hoarding is executed,energy will change with currency.When people do not consume,currency is deposited as wealth,and the ordered,governable negative entropy energy in the nature is accumulated.The execution of means of payment is also a phenomenon of energy flow.When the function of universal money is executed,energy also flows worldwide.In social ecosystem,currency was analyzed in aspects of its influence on ecological niche and value outlook of humans and the influence of currency alienation on humans.Currency enables people to free from confinement,liberates the way people own property and broadens people's ecological niche in the social ecosystem,nonetheless,excessive freedom affects the stability of the ecological niche of some people.When currency is transformed from a means into an objective,things with different natures are endowed with identity,quality is converted into quantity,and currency becomes the god in the mind of individuals.Currency also made the diverse human value simplex.The alienation of currency turned people from subjects to objects,thus resulting in social issues such as human trafficking and that some people lose their original ecological niche in the social ecosystem.The alienation of currency also adversely affected some people's health,triggered financial crisis and disturbed the normal life order of people.Currency plays a positive role as well as exerts numerous negative impacts in the economic and social ecosystem.People should maintain the positive role of currency and guide its negative impacts towards the positive,ecological direction,thus providing a beneficial enlightenment for the promotion of all-round development of human beings and sustainable development of economy as well as the construction of harmonious society and ecological civilization.
