Research On Maize Price Fluctuation And Its Influencing Factors Of In China

Foodstuffs are the basis of people's life,food security is a social problem as well as a political issue.The price of foodstuffs is the foundation of other things and it has been widespread concerned in the community.With the gradual liberation and development of China's grain market,the influence factors of grain price tend to be diversified and complicated,and the grain price fluctuates frequently,which has an important impact on food producers and consumers.As one of the important grain varieties in China,maize occupies an important position in China's food security strategy.The research about the characteristics and influence factors of maize price fluctuation lay the foundation for the stability of maize market and promote the healthy development of it.What's more,they provide a reference for the control strategy of other varieties of grain in China.This paper analyzes the production,consumption,trade and stocks situation of maize from the supply and demand of China's maize.And it directly displays the change and development of Chinese maize by tables and figures.Then,the H-P filter is used to decompose the data of maize price,and the trend and cycle character are analyzed on the basis of trend part and cycle division.This paper takes further research by constructing the partial equilibrium model which consists of seven behavior equations,two definition equations and one balance equation.The main influencing factors of price fluctuation are found by the scenario analysis through the main influence variables of price fluctuation from 2009-2013.The results indicate: from the fluctuation characters,there is long-term steady growth trend of the maize price fluctuation,China's maize price fluctuation presents asymmetric and unstable state on the whole,what's more,the fluctuation characteristics of the fluctuation of maize price have big differences in different periods,before 2002,the range of corn price fluctuation is large,and then it reduced,after 2007,it rises slightly.From the main influencing factors of price fluctuation,the results show that the per capita GDP and the rise of urbanization rate are the main factors affecting the fluctuation of domestic maize price in 2009-2013,and the former's influence degree is deeper;the international maize price has marginal effect on the price of China's maize price;the temporary storage policy of maize mobilize the enthusiasm of farmers,promote the stability price of maize.And it makes the corn price fluctuation remain relatively stable under the background of the volatility of international prices,but also widens the domestic corn price difference.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward some suggestions: improve the efficiency of corn production,stabilize the maize market,improve the price formation mechanism of maize,coordinate the domestic market and trade measures.
