An Empirical Study On The Impact Of New Urbanization In Jiangsu Province On Industrial Structure Upgrading

Central government treats new-type urbanization as a crucial tool for national modernization since 18 th NPC National Congress,and emphasizes the importance of new-type urbanization for facilitating the transformation of economics in new phase,and for stimulating the economic growth.Comparing with traditional urbanization,new-type urbanization not only involves the proportion of urban population,but also underlines the promotion of the urbanization qualities,which include living quality,resources,environment,society,economics,and ecology.Taking advantage of the upgrade of industrial structure to improve the level of social development and to promote economic growth is a key to break through the bottleneck of our country's economy.Jiang Su province has a solid foundation for the transformation in the development of urbanization and industrial structure upgrade.This paper constructs the new urbanization comprehensive index system,based on panel data of 13 cities in Jiang Su province in 2000-2014 to get the new urbanization number of Jiang Su province,then introduce the entropy weight method to the comprehensive index of sub indexes weight,through weighted new urbanization comprehensive index value.Then compare various areas of Jiang Su province about the trend of the development level of urbanization and the differences between each other.Then I build high-level respectively industrial structure and industrial structure rationalization measures,and the regional industrial structure upgrade situation in jiangsu province are descriptive statistical analyzed.In the empirical phase,This paper use GMM first-order differential dynamic panel data method to build model,research the new urbanization in southern Jiang Su,middle jiangsu and northern jiangsu province to the influence of the fundamentals of high-level industrial structure and rational industrial structure.The result is that the influnce of new-type urbanization to high-level industrial structure in northern and middle Jiang Su is higher than it in southern Jiang Su.The influnce of new-type urbanization to rational industrial structure in southern Jiang Su is higher than northern and middle Jiang Su.
