Quality is the life of pharmaceutical industry and great source for its further development.Our nation is a great country with flourishing Chinese medical culture and long histories.Chinese medicine production requires extreme high level of quality management to guarantee high-quality products.Only Chinese medicine in compliance with quality standards can meet the needs of society safeguarding humans’ health and life.Red Ginseng is Chinese herbal pieces made of Chinese medical herbs,which is universally applied in society medicine market and health food industry.The pros and cons regarding red ginseng production drying rate improvement is closely connected with development of Chinese medical industry.On one hand,it represents the technology development of Chinese herbal pieces production enterprises.On the other hand,the quality management has further impacts on medical industry and concerns people’s health.In the research of this paper,it develops relevant theory and application research of red ginseng drying rate improvement by sticking to basic general quality management principles and methods in project management.It draws fish-bone chart to locate the main factors,proposes questions,analyze and solve it.Red ginseng drying rate shall be improved by staff,equipment,technique operations and site environment quality management.In this paper,it studies quality management of red ginseng drying rate improvement from four aspects:First,it describes project of red ginseng drying rate improvement and summarizes the current situation of red ginseng pieces production company’s drying rate.Then it introduces the research background and significance of improving red ginseng drying rate.Next,it reviews TQM and its relevant theories.Furthermore,itanalyzes the conceptions,characteristics and applications of relevant quality theories.Also,it illustrates the research approaches of the project.Secondary,it conducts site investigation of red ginseng production line in chapter two.It illustrates current situation of red ginseng drying rate improvement project and quality management.Also,it analyzes the quality management issues in production and operation and its reasons further.In addition,in chapter three of this paper,it studies and explores the quality management improvement project of Jilin Aodong in improving red ginseng drying rate.It proposes to improve drying rate from four aspects of equipment,staff,operation methods and environment management;also,it formulates 5s management improvement plan including enhance management and operators quality awareness,operation improvement of manufacturing technique equipment and materials quality,optimizing production techniques system and reinforcing site environment.In the end,it develops guarantee measures for quality management of red ginseng drying rate project from organization,regulation,technology and information in chapter 4.In this paper,it applies quality management in traditional medicine production industry to reduce manufacturing cost and improve control capacity over production level.Thus,it may generate more economic interests and promote the sustainable development of Chinese herbal pieces manufacturing industry.
