| In recent years,the shipping market has been in a poor status because of the slow increase of the world economy and trade. Whereas Tianjin Port has met a rare development opportunity in the unfavorable development environment of container multi-modal transportation. The following ideas and policies have created some good development conditions for Tianjin Port container multi-modal transportation business;for instance, the cooperative promotion and development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei economy during the 13th five-year-plan of our state, the national strategy of one-belt and one-road, the national strategy of the opening and reform of Tianjin Binhai New Area, the rapid implement of Tianjin Free Trade Experiment Area and the first class national new example area of independence and creation.However, as far as the container multi-modal service is concerned, Tianjin Port has, at present, three problems; namely: the container quantity stays insufficient, the comprehensive cost is high and the competition advantage becomes weak. Focusing on these three issues, this dissertation analyses the influential factors about the container source and flow direction of Tianjin Port, analyses the comprehensive costs of various kinds of container transportation of Tianjin Port and also makes an analysis on the competition that Tianjin Port faces in the development of container multi-modal transportation business, especially the advantages and disadvantages as well as the challenges and chances in the course of it.In the last part of this dissertation, by aiming to turn Tianjin Port into a container multi-modal operator in Northeast Asia, the writer, in order to solve the above-mentioned three problems, has put forward some development ideas about how to canvas more containers, make more profits, face the future competition, strengthen the cooperation with other ports for the purpose of doing the container multi-modal transportation of Tianjin Port well. |
