Research On Comparison Of TPP Investment Rules And WTO Investment Rules

With the development of global economic integration,international investment is more and more important.In order to promote economic development,some countries tend to attract foreign investment.Because of that situation,the research and development of relevant rules of international investment is very significant.In recent years,regional investment agreements develop quickly.This is because the multilateral negotiations blocked.Some countries have turned to negotiating regional trade agreements to promote economic development.Regional investment agreements develop quickly.Some of them gradually get rid of geographical restrictions.At the same time,the content of regional trade agreements is wide.And it continues to accelerate the negotiating process.TPP promotes a new round of trade and investment rules research boom.TPP was successfully completed in October,2015.TPP agreement is different from others in WTO.Agreements belong to WTO Framework often focus on a single aspect.But TPP is a comprehensive agreement TPP is famous for its high standards and wide coverage.The members of TPP have a great influence on the world economy.On the basis of combing the international investment agreements,I focus on the WTO framework and the TPP investment rules.The agreements which are related to investment rules in WTO are TRIMs,GATS and TRIPS.This article describes the main content of TPP investment chapter and WTO investment rules.And it analyzes the investment principles,dispute settlement mechanisms and non-conforming measures of the two investment rules.TPP agreement investment rules involves national treatment,most-favored-nation treatment and expropriation and compensation standards.TPP investment principles are more comprehensive.In addition,this paper explains some issues that TPP contains such as "negative list","Investor-State dispute settlement mechanism.",environmental standards,corporate social responsibility and so on.Finally,the article analyzes the impact of TPP investment rules to China and puts forward relevant policy recommendations.
