| With the acceleration of the global integration process and the continuous development of the market economy,competition among enterprises is intensifying,and the importance of evaluating and analyzing enterprise development capability is becoming more and more essential.Based on the discussion of the essence of enterprise development capability,this paper studies on the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry which is representative.This paper summarizes the factors that influence enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises by analyzing the development status and characteristics of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry,and then constructs the evaluation index system about enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises.Then,the evaluation model about enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises is constructed by using PCA(Principal Component Analysis)and data of listed companies in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry from 2013 to 2015,and the validity test is carried out by using industry data.Then two listed companies in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry,SL Pharmaceutical and North China Pharmaceutical,are selected by this paper,and the model is used to evaluate enterprise development capability of this two enterprises.Finally,this paper explores the problems existing in enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises and puts forward some suggestions.The differences between the research idea and the existing research are as follows.(1)Few studies have explained and distinguished the concepts of enterprise development capability,enterprise growth,enterprise capability and enterprise competitiveness.Based on the discussion of the essence of enterprise development capability and the summarization of relevant theories,this paper defines enterprise development capability and other related concepts,and expounds the differences and relations between enterprise development capability and other concepts.(2)There were many studies that only constructed the model,and analyzed the whole industry in a nutshell,which is unable to reflect the application value of the model.Based on the construction of the evaluation model about enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing companies and the validity test carried out by using industry data,this paper applies the model into two cases,SL Pharmaceutical and North China Pharmaceutical.After in-depth study,findings of this paper are as follows.(1)Based on the theory of firm growth and the theory of firm capability,this paper argues that enterprise development capability is the internal potential and external expansion of an enterprise by inputting and utilizing resources,which is the embodiment of enterprise growth(especially endogenous growth)from the perspective of capability.(2)The factors influencing enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises include external factors(economic environment,industry policies and social health issues)and internal factors(human resources,R&D level,present management level,continuous operation possibility and enterprise size),and the evaluation index system and model about enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises consist of 7 dimensions,named learning innovation capability,management expansion capability,profitability,operation capability,debt paying capability,sustainable operation capability and scale expansion capability,and 15 indices.(3)From 2013 to 2015,enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises is mainly distributed within the range of-2-2,and has smoother distribution.There are 42.19%of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises whose enterprise development capability performs well.Overall,enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises still has much room for improvement.(4)Enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises is faced with the homogenization of products,the low technical threshold,the single structure,that the improvement of management level is needed and the shortage of talent pool and R&D investment,so pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises need to focus on optimizing the product structure and industrial layout,adjusting the capital structure,strengthening financial management and promoting human resources investment and R&D level.The innovation of this paper is as follows.(1)Based on the relevant research status and theoretical basis,this paper defines the concept of enterprise development capability,and integrates and enriches the theoretical system,which is theoretical innovation.(2)Based on the development status and characteristics of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry,the influencing factors of enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises are summarized.Then,the evaluation index system and model about enterprise development capability of pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises are constructed.(3)Through the analysis of enterprise development ability of two representative pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises,problems are explored and some suggestions are put forward. |
