Research On The Technology Spillover Effect Of Sino-foreign IJVs In Auto Industry

Under the circumstance of slow recovery of the world economy and a new round of industrial revolution, the foreign direct investment is one of the most important forms of economic development of every country which is also the important type of capital flows.The development of new strategic industries and high-tech industries has become the engine of China's economic development,and Automobile industry should be the be the first to be affected because of its Characteristic in high-technical and huge amount of capital. Joint venture enterprise is an important type of entry of foreign capital especially in China's automobile industry which is implement the plan of protect the market and is desired to technology.How to utilize the technology spillover effect from the joint venture to promote the technology level of industry in China and learn advanced technology from foreign company in order to promote international competitiveness and core competence has become people's primary focus.So this paper chooses the aspect of technology spillover effect of sino-foreign IJVs in auto industry to do the research.This paper consists of six parts. The first part introduces the background and significance of the research draws on the research in related fields.The second part reviews the theory of international direct investment and the theory of spillover.The third part analyzes the situation of China's automobile industry and the absorptive capacity of technology spillover.The fourth part analyzes the example of BBA,talks about the situation of business partners and explains why they want to join hands.The fifth part uses the quantitative analysis to construct the empirical model based on endogenous growth theory to analyze the technology spillover effect of the joint venture. The sixth part summarizes the influence factors of Technology Spillover on the basis of the analysis of the qualitative and quantitative aspects and give the suggestions.
