Commercial banks must be under external supervision in order to make sure secure,fluent and high-efficient operation due to several reasons such as the vulnerability of marketing,the profit tendency of capitals and asymmetry of market dealing.In order to achieve this goal,banking bureaus of the whole country has been dedicated to keep healthy development of local commercial banks and explore better ways and actions of banking supervision in recent years.In this thesis,the bureau's supervision and ministration of commercial banks in Zhengjiang are studied in detail.Present situation,achievements and problems of the supervision and ministration are analyzed,while potential suggestion for further improvements of commercial banks supervision is also given.In detail,this thesis is comprised of six chapters.Chapter 1 summarizes the background,significance and worldwide research progress of commercial banks supervision.In Chapter 2,the basic concepts and theories used in the study are introduced.In Chapter 3,the present situation of commercial banks supervision in Zhenjiang is studied in detail,followed by an evaluation of the supervision behavior and suggestion of strategies in Chapter 5 by using descriptive statistics and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.In the last chapter,conclusion and outlook are given at the end of the thesis.The following conclusions or results are obtained from this study: 1)The operation of commercial banks in Zhengjiang is generally stable.Although the bank bureaus of Zhengjiang has paid increasing attention to commercial bank supervision,but the effects are not equivalent.Future improvements of such supervision,when possible,must be accompanied with higher costs.2)Supervision policy,strategy and the grace of supervision staff are three key factors affecting the effectiveness of government supervision.3)Explicit suggestion is given with respect to three major issues including the Zhengjiang government's supervision policy,supervision strategy and the way to cultivate the administration talents.
