An Analysis Of The Overall Development And International Competitiveness Of China’s Numerically-controlled Machine Tool Industry

Numerically-controlled machine tool is the core equipment in the modern manufacturing industry.The production volume and technical level of the NC machine tool are an important symbol of mechanization,modernization and automation for a country.By improving the technology and production of the NC machine tool,it will have a direct impact on a nation’s integrated manufacturing level and international competitiveness.Along with the industrialization process step by step,NC machine tool industry has developed at a large scale.The product tends to be comprehensive and the NC technology and design concepts are in progress.However,at the same time of the development,it should be realized that there is a big technology gap between China and developed countries,which shows a direct performance of the industrial competitiveness.Especially since China’s economy has entered into a period of a “new normal”,and a general downturn in the real economy,the NC machine tool industry is suffering.In this paper,by using and analyzing the data of the National Bureau of Statistics,Customs trade data,and the data of patent,with the different analysis methods,such as literature analysis,economic data analysis,patent analysis,experience summary method,it analyzes the development of China’s NC machine tool industry.This paper focuses on the analysis of two aspects,namely the existing problems during the development of NC machine tool industry,as well as the current global competitiveness.Firstly,the paper reviews the development of NC machine tools in China,and clarifies the industry structure.On the basis of understanding the industry composition,it tries to find a feasible suggestion for the near future.Secondly,by analyzing the current global machine tool market,trade situation,import and export data,to understand the current trade competition of NC industry in China.Further,the paper analyzes the world’s recent 10 years patent data and presents the current patent technology status and the characteristics of patent activity.Based on the analysis,the paper clarifies the technical competition situation,to determine the status of industry competition,and finds opportunities to enhance the competitiveness of NC machine tool industry in China.Finally,through the analysis of the current international and domestic economic situation,the paper finds out the influencing factors of Chinese NC machine tool industry.At the end of the paper,it analyzes the "Made in China 2025" strategy,and offers an idea for achieving the goal.
