| Since twenty-first Century,in the context of global warming,China is currently in a period of rapid development of industrialization and city,energy demand and consumption is huge,greenhouse gas emissions overall upward trend,climate change on human survival and development is more and more big challenge.Bohai rim region as China’s economic growth in the "third pole",the larger the proportion of heavy industry,high energy consumption,high pollution of the mode of economic growth is restricting the sustained and healthy development of the economy in 2011 carbon emissions in Bohai province accounts for the proportion of total carbon emissions reached 30%,the development of low carbon economy transformation is imminent.Based on the theory of geography and economics,this paper studies the spatial and temporal differences in the performance of low carbon transition in Bohai.In view of the domestic academic circles on the comprehensive study of the performance of the low carbon transition research lags behind,and the development of low-carbon economy is an urgent need,in reference to the development of low-carbon economy on the basis of research results.Based on the contents interpretation of low carbon transition,this article establishes an evaluation index system for low carbon transition of cities around the Bohai bay using panel data of 17 coastal cities around the Bohai bay from 2005 to 2012;the system covers aspects of ecological environment,economic growth,development of support,energy utilization and industrial structure.The evaluation index system employs combination weighting approach based on integrated analysis to evaluate and study the aforementioned aspects and uses kernel density estimation model and geographic information system(GIS)spatial analysis to conduct spatiotemporal changing analysis of the results to reveal the internal changing rules.By doing so,the inherit variation rules are revealed,accompanying with the following conclusions:(1)from the whole point of view,from 2005 to 2012,the Bohai Sea coastal low-carbon development trend was obvious,at the same time,around the city between the low-carbon transformation is not balanced.(2)From the point of view of the sub-index,the industrial structure,energy use,ecological environment and development support of the coastal cities of the Bohai Sea show a decreasing trend,indicating that the effect of low-carbon transformation is not significant and still maintain the traditional development trend.(3)From the perspective of spatial differentiation,the regional performance of low-carbon transition in the coastal areas of the Bohai Sea is significant,which is divided into high performance areas,high performance areas,low performance areas and low performance areas.(4)The spatial and temporal differences in the performance of low-carbon transition in the coastal areas of the Bohai Sea are the result of the combined effects of various factors,including economic and social support factors such as capital,manpower and infrastructure,national policies,science and technology,low-carbon consciousness and entrepreneur’s quality Driving factors,resources(energy)endowments,location conditions and other natural basis factors.And on this basis,China’s urban low-carbon transformation from multi-level,multi-angle put forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions. |
