The Study On The Technical And Economic Aspects Of The New Peanut Varieties

The paper based on the questionnaire data of the national peanut industry system on peanut growers in 2013,changes brought about by the popularization and application of new peanut varieties of economic benefits are investigated to find that with the application of new peanut varieties,farmers’ income is relatively high in peanut.Using the stochastic frontier model to measure comparative samples found growers technical efficiency of the application of new peanut varieties was higher than that without the use of a new peanut variety,difference of technical efficiency level among growers are significantly smaller than the latter group;loss of efficiency in production level model,whether use the new peanut variety or not have significant effect on the production-level of growers.The paper will sample the peanut growers questionnaire from the angle of whether use the new peanut varieties or not sorted into two groups,calculations indicate that the farmers who applies new peanut varieties compares the less application of new peanut variety growers in peanut production do exist in labor saving technical progress to establish the VES production function model;then using the trans-log production function model comparison analysis of the output elasticity of two groups of farmers in the process in the production of peanut seeds,fertilizer,labor and other input factors and the elasticity of substitution between these factors.the application of new peanut variety found to improve the output elasticity all input elements of the peanut growers,and makes the fertilizer input on seed costs by the substitution relationship into a complementary relationship.Elasticity of substitution between labor and mechanical values,especially the group with the application of new peanut varieties was very close to 1,indicate the existence of unit elasticity of substitution between the two;in the popularization of new peanut varieties at the same time,increase the mechanical and related technical facilities,will have a clear alternative to labor.In addition,the elasticity of substitution between other inputs values were changed in different degree,explains the role of popularization and application of new peanut variety plays a certain part in the rational allocation of peanut production’s input factors to promote the peanut farmers income.
