Land is a kind of non-renewable valuable natural resources,while it is carrier of all human beings’production activities in the long process of social development.Therefore,the land generally has natural and economic attributes.Natural properties is the inherent properties,which is relatively stable and can’t be easily change in a certain time.When people start to develop and use land resource to meet their needs,it reflects in its economic attributes.In the modern social,the economic attributes of land has undergone enormous changes,ecological damage,soil erosion and other problems disappear one after another,land resources have been devastated,but the pace of development of human society still became more and more quickly,on the already scarce land resources still endless plunder,plundered the land resource which is already in a shortage,the sitation of land use and land cover change is very serious now,if we don’t take some measure to control and improve,it will threaten the survival of mankind.Recognizing this problem,since the 20th century,global sustainable development strategy is presented,and received the positive response of the many country in the world,land issues are highly concerned.Many scholars experts have put forward countermeasures and opinions about the problem of land status and how to take utilization of land in a science and rational way.Dexing City in Jiangxi Province is a typical town which in the rapid urbanization development,the land use situation is bound to change accordingly in recent decades.This paper obtained its satellite image data(2000,2005,2010,2014),using ENVI and ArcGIS software to conduct its post-processing,and use the relevant theory and method of landscape ecology,calculate and analysis the landscape pattern of land cover changes in Dexing City by Fragstats software.Finally combine the 2000 to 2013 social-economic data and arable land data of Dexing City(The date from 2000 to 2013 is hard to get),using SPSS software to do the principal component analysis,then use the factors selected by PCA analysis to STIRPAT cultivated land driving force model,study the factors causing Dexing cultivated land change driving forces.The results showed:(1)Forest is the largest land types in Dexing,accounting for about 80%of total area.The second largest land is arable land,accounting for about 10%of total study area.Water area,construction sites and other land cover less than 10%of total area.(2)From 2000-2014,all stages of land use type conversion frequently in Dexing.See from a allover view,the area of farmland,forest land,waters and other land is in a continuous downward trend,the area of turning out is greater than turning in.the main direction of turning out is the type of construction land.The area of construction land is always growing,the area of turning in is much more than turning out,from 2000--2014 increase a total number of 1725.9hm,mainly come from farmland and woodland.(3)From the view of the land use and land cover characteristics and change state index,over 2000-2014,the single land use dynamic degree of arable land,forest,water and other land is less than 0,which means the area is decreasing.The single land use dynamic degree of construction land greater than 0,which means area is increasing.From 2000 to 2014 stage,the amount and rate degree of the extent of land use change is greater than zero in Dexing City,indicating that Dexing City is in a period of rapid development in this period of time.(4)From the view of the calculated ecological landscape index and analysis results in Dexing City area,the foundation landscape in Dexing City area is woodland,in study period,the number of patches,diversity index,and evenness index in study period is in a decreasing trend,while the aggregate index and plaque index showing an increasing trend,indicating that there is a big difference between the inner landscape types,complexity is reduced,large patches are increased,the unevenness and instability between the various landscapes is increased.The number of patches,patch density,edge density,diversity index,and evenness index firstly reduce and then increase and then reduce.Resolution,fractal dimension,and spread index showed the changes process of first increased then decreased and increase again.Construction land landscape change is the most obvious,its landscape patches is in large-scale expansion.The proportion of farmland,forest land and unused land is decreasing,and the transfer for construction landscape types is frequent.(5)Through the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the driving force of arable land change in Dexing City,the main driver of land use and cover change in Dexing area can be summarized as population growth,economic development,improve the level of agricultural technology and policy support.Among them,the impact of economic development to the cultivated area change is more obvious,GDP growth could easily lead to reduction of arable land,the improvement of urbanization level is helpful to alleviate the continued downward trend of arable land in Dexing City,which is mainly due to the acceleration of urbanization rate improve the level of intensive land degree.Dexing City should continue to strengthen land intensive and economical use while promoting urbanization.Improving transport infrastructure and supporting projects without the use cultivated land,promoting the development of agriculture.
