Research On The Operational Efficiency Of China's Non-ferrous Metals Industry

China's non-ferrous metal industry is the basic industry of national economy development.Over the last decade,In recent years,the non-ferrous metal industry got rapid growth of fixed asset investment industry scale,productivity continued to expand.With the non-ferrous metal prices soaring and the market demand for nonferrous metal,a lot of investment swarm into the industry.In recent years,non-ferrous metal industry suffered after the financial crisis in 2008,began to exposed many problems.Non-ferrous metal market prices facing the loss of pile up in excess of requirement,a large number of enterprises loss,the overall decline in the profitability of the industry,which bring high investment income has shrunk dramatically.In the non-ferrous metal maket boom,gathered a large number of resources in the field of non-ferrous metals,lead to industry overcapacity.By national policy guidance and support,in order to cope with the crisis and guaranteed income,non-ferrous metal industry continues to expand,contrarian investment in fixed assets of the industry down.Overcapacity,falling prices,resource and environmental constraints make the non-ferrous metal enterprises generally operating difficulties,some enterprises on the verge of bankruptcy,but some enterprises are still profitable.Percentage of loss-incurring enterprises expand industry,profit space further compression,non-ferrous metals enterprises affects the stability of the industry in the operation and development,these are undoubtedly operating efficiency has great relationship with the industry.Enterprises are the main body in the development of the industry,a single micro subject of every business activities are an important part of operating conditions of the whole industry.The discretion of the enterprise operating efficiency determines the operating efficiency of the industry as a whole,to promote the operating efficiency of industry will also want to implement in the enterprise.Through micro-enterprise operating efficiency of static and dynamic data can be more complete and detailed understanding of the status of the operating efficiency of the industry.There is a huge difference of nonferrous metal industry enterprises,so it is necessary from the industrial chain link,ownership category,size class and regional category,multidimensional perspective respectively for changes in the operating efficiency of the non-ferrous metal industry and the factors affecting the operating efficiency in detail analysis and discussion,in order to comprehensive understanding of the business operating efficiency.In this paper,the nonferrous metals industry listed companies as an example,using the data envelopment analysis(DEA)to analyze the operating efficiency of China's nonferrous metals industry.Full text from the industry as a whole,the industrial chain link,the perspective of the ownership category,size class and regional category respectively for changes in the operating efficiency in the non-ferrous metal industry as well as the factors that influence efficiency of management made a detailed comparative analysis.Studies have shown that the non-ferrous metal industry the downward trend in overall operating efficiency change is slow,fluctuation is not big,pure technical efficiency as the key factor of restricting the management efficiency;Mining and smelting and rolling processing industry slight fluctuations,unstable efficiency levels in operating efficiency levels during the review period,and rolling processing industry smelting operating efficiency is always better than the mining industry;State-owned and non-state-owned,large and small to medium sized operating efficiency changes within the inspection period to present the characteristics of the "upper hand" alternately,central and eastern operating efficiency is very close,while western efficiency level lags behind that of the both.All listed companies in the industry have a huge difference in operating efficiency,the majority of listed companies in the state of decreasing returns to scale.Finally,the paper gives some suggestions to improve operating efficiency of non-ferrous metal industry.
