Research On The Impact Of Major Floods And Droughts On China's Grain Import And Export Trade

Due to the large population, China takes the first place in grain production and consumption. In recent years, with the change of global climate, flood and drought disasters have become serious, so the grain production affected by them has become more and more obvious. In this paper, firstly, it described the changes of grain production and deduction coursed by the flood and drought disasters from 1978 to 2013 in China, and then the overall effects of disasters of flood and drought on grain production and the concrete impacts on wheat, corn and rice production were analyzed.On this basis, it analyzed the impacts of disasters on flood and drought on the grain prices and grain security. Then, it analyzed the status of the foreign grain trade. On the basis, it analyzed the impact of disasters of flood and drought on the foreign grain trade and other factors which affected the foreign grain trade. In the last, it calculated the correlation coefficient through Eviews to concluded the real relationship between flood and drought disasters and foreign grain trade.
