With some strategies such as “German Industry 4.0” and “China Manufacturing 2025”has been put forward, a new round of global manufacturing upgrading is just around corner.As an advanced manufacturing technology, laser processing which has the character of extensive, flexibility, non-contact etc will play an increasingly important role. Therefore analyzing the development status of laser processing technology, combing the development track of the laser processing technology, researching the development trend of laser processing technology has important significance to the laser processing industry and laser processing equipment manufacturers of China.There are more than 40 million patents in the world now,as an important carrier of technology innovation patent which contains many valuable information,and research on present situation and development trend in the specific technology field of using patent analysis method has incomparable advantage over other methods based on larger scale patent information in specific technology field.The research framework is put forward based on patent information of laser processing field combine with methods of patent analysis, social network analysis and main path analysis, and have research on the technology development trend of laser processing field.Fist of all, the current technology development status of global laser processing is analyzed from perspective of patent number development, main patent country and main patent assignees based on larger numbers of patents in laser processing field.Secondly, according to research method of technology development trend based on technology network, using Logsitic model to partition technology development phase and constructing technology network of laser processing field of each phase, the technology development trend and core technology field could be obtained through analysis of network structure change and calculation of core index of technology node.Finally, constructing patent citation network,extracting core patent development path from citation network based on SPLC algorithm, the mainstream R&D route was analyzed by using main path analysis combine with related literature, and deep into the patent individuals, identify the core patent of patentdevelopment trajectory.By using the study framework above, the present situation and tendency of the development of laser processing technology has a clear research, which can provide basis and support for laser processing industry in China and related enterprise of making development strategy and R&D strategy.
