Most modern power plants are running at high cost, high security, inefficient state, in order to ensure the sustainable development of enterprises, to achieve "stronger, world-class" reform and development goals, it needs to be three reasonable balance up. With large-scale power generation business investment and expanding production scale and improve the effectiveness of the various power plants is becoming more and more attention. With the deepening of the power system, separation of generation, bidding, cost efficiency, such as the gradual introduction of market behavior, increasingly competitive market. For large-scale power generation companies to survive in challenging and competitive development, it is necessary to reduce costs, improve business performance to ensure the safety of the premise. Faced with new challenges, Chinese power companies to understand not only the needs of the electricity market, but also need to address its operating results and the ability to continually optimize the allocation of resources, improve enterprise performance.This paper introduces the basic theory of performance, to clarify the concept of enterprise performance and business performance of the similarities and differences, and elaborated on the methods related management effectiveness evaluation; China in recent years in the analysis of large-scale power generation business situation and the need for efficiency analysis evaluated the effectiveness of power generation companies Based on the principle of combined index selection, index system was constructed to reflect its business performance, the indexes are explained in detail; using factor analysis of power generation business performance evaluation index drop weft treatment to reduce the correlation between the index and select the DEA-Malmquist index model as an evaluation method for three large-scale power generation enterprises (Datang, Huaneng, Huadian) related to the effectiveness of its implementation of the evaluation data, and the results were analyzed. Through empirical verify the effectiveness of the evaluation system and method described herein build scientific and applicability.
