Power system is a nonlinear,multidimensional,dynamic system.If the power system fails in stability,improper handling may quickly affect the stability of the entire system,often caused by large-scale and long time power outage,causing huge losses and serious damage to the national economy and people's life..Therefore,the design of more advanced controller to improve the stability of the power system has become one of the most important research topic today.According to the nonlinear characteristics of power system,combined with the Hamiltonian function,passivity,dissipativity theory,put forward the method of Hamiltonian controller,and application in electric power system,the main contents are as follows:Firstly,the proposed method is applied to the robust controller with Hamiltonian STATCOM single machine infinite power system.In the design process of the entire controller,it can be seen that the control law plays a role in increasing the damping of the system and can maintain the transient stability of the system,the simulation results also demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller;Secondly,the Hamiltonian method robust controller is applied to a single-infinite power system with thyristor controlled series compensator.Due to the system's model does not satisfy the structural form of Hamiltonian system,it needs to add a preset feedback to satisfy the basic structure of the Hamiltonian system.In addition,during the design process of the controller,it can be seen that the control law also increases the damping of the system and maintain the transient stability of the system.Finally the method is applied to a valve opening in the single machine infinite power system.The first is the generator valve control system into the structure of Hamiltonian system,then design the controller and from the controller design process can be seen in its damping characteristics of the system are improved and maintain the transient stability of the system.In the three applications,whether in the system of the conversion process,or in the design process of the controller,the system is not linear,thus preserve the nonlinear characteristics of the system,which makes the design results need to be more practical.
