Research And Implementation Of English Text Input System Based On Accelerometer And Gyro Sensor

With the popularization and development of large-screen smart devices,its application gradually infiltrated into every corner of our lives.However,the text input system for large-screen intelligent devices developed slowly,and it has been using the traditional remote control device to complete the text input.When a user inputs a character using the remote control device,you need to press the button constantly.How to reduce the number of key presses when entering characters,and improve the speed of large-screen intelligent device text input has become an urgent need to solve the problem.we designed an English text input prototype system based on accelerometers and gyro sensors,which uses the gesture action as the input source.The specific research contents are as follows:first,On the premise of full investigation on current gesture recognition,we analysis of the system prototype required gesture recognition method.Second,we have a comprehensive analysis of the process of character input,and according to the steps required for character input,we designed two interactive gestures for completing input tasks.Third,On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of interactive gesture movement,we designed two virtual keyboard layout styles,which follow the principle of enlightening users and reducing user learning costsFinally,in this paper,the experimental results show that the input system is superior to the traditional text input device.And We chose the best of a layout style for our input system services.We use flexible and free hand gestures instead of the traditional remote control device when inputting characters.This text input method breaks the way of traditional text is input,and it is more intuitive,natural,can effectively reduce the user's learning costs.The research content of this paper has some reference significance for the research of new text input method.
