In order to protect the secure transmission and storage of information,our country has launched symmetric cipher which is conducive to the country's development.For further practice in our country's symmetric cipher,several parts of ZUC sequence cipher and SM4 block cipher are optimized separately.Fist of all,according to the application of cryptography,cryptanalysis is systematically divided.Based on the similarities and differences of the key held by both sides of communication,the basic structure of symmetric cipher is researched detailedly in this thesis.Taking consideration of word symmetric cipher research process and taking symmetric cipher development time as axis,the latest researchs on symmetric cipher are described minutely.Secondly,our country's symmetric cipher is taken as the research object in this thesis,the theoretical principle,design philosophy and hardware implementation of ZUC sequence cipher and SM4 block cipher are researched roundly.In the theoretical research of SM4 block cipher,the security and key length of SM4 key scheme are discussed in depth.In order to optimize the problem that SM4 block cipher has no long key structure,the whitening technique and chaotic system are introduced,SM4 block cipher based on whitening technology and SM4 key scheme based on chaotic system are also proposed.In the theoretical research of ZUC sequence cipher,the implementation of the nonlinear permutation S-box and the secure selection of initial vector are discussed furtherly.In order to reduce the resource consumption of hardware implementation in ZUC sequence cipher and improve the ciphertext complexity,the idea of self-synchronization and logic implementation of nonlinear permutation S-box are introduced,the self-synchronous like ZUC sequence cipher and nonlinear permutation S-box based on logic resource are also proposed.In this thesis,the optimized ZUC sequence cipher and SM4 block cipher are all implemented in hardware.Finally,the design of network data encryption card is realized by combining the ZUC sequence cipher,SM4 block cipher and those optimized cipher algorithms with PCI interface and network card,and PCI interface logic and network card interface logic are realized by field programmable gate array.
