From elementary school students to high school students are full of enthusiasm in the study of mathematics competition, the relative number of primary schools Mathematical Olympiad education, high school students won the math contest education society, schools, families, more support, but whether it really can stimulate student interest, Can promote the student's study, can cultivate the student's mathematics thought, can enhance the student's mathematics ability, really like the person wish it, this is our worth ponder and the research question.In view of the math contest so "welcome", I would like to investigate the high school students in Nanjing to study the status quo of mathematics competition, students, teachers, parents through interviews and interviews, understanding and interpretation, to present the Nanjing High School Mathematics Contest Learning the status quo, to understand whether they are a profound understanding of the mathematical competition, is not interested in mathematics competition, is not really understand the math competition learning methods and strategies, the value of learning and significance……I survey the status quo, The reasons of these present situation, and some problems in mathematics competition education to grasp, diagnose and propose improvement strategies. Hoping to give Austria a few "wash", wash away the dirt on it, let people face the Mathematical Olympiad, reasonable, dialectical understanding of mathematics competition education, but also Mathematical Olympiad a "clean", but also a number of "blue sky" Children in this "blue sky" under the free, happy and healthy growth.In this paper, the literature research, questionnaire survey, interview method to carry out research, all collected data are used software Excel2016 and SPSS19.0 to deal with. The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1) nearly two-thirds of the students are from primary school began to learn mathematics competition, began to contact time very early.(2) The level of interest and attitudes of the high school students' mathematics competition is relatively moderate, with a strong interest and correct attitude, a small number of students interested in lower. Interest and attitudes, boys are slightly higher than girls, but there is no significant gender differences; and high school students than a sophomore interested in the number of more, but there is no significant difference in grade.(3) The purpose of the mathematical competition of high school students is relatively moderate level of understanding level, a deeper understanding of the purpose, a small part of the students know shallow. The higher the students in grade one, the higher the students in grade two, but there is no significant difference in grade.(4) The senior high school students have a better understanding of the ways and strategies of mathematics competition. They have a deep understanding and a clear self-understanding. They adopt a variety of effective strategies to learn mathematics competitions in a variety of ways. In the mastery or application of mathematics competition methods and strategies, boys are more skilled than female students, but there is no significant sex difference. High school students are a little more proficient than sophomores, but there is no significant grade difference.(5) There is a significant positive correlation between interest and attitudes of students and their attitudes and goals. There is a significant positive correlation between interest and attitude,learning styles and strategies, and a positive correlation between learning objectives and strategies.(6) In mathematics competition, students need to cultivate their interest, correct attitude,deepen the understanding of purpose, master and use the learning methods and strategies to improve the students' achievement or level.(7) Most parents encourage their children to learn mathematics competition to broaden their horizons, exercise their thinking and improve the mathematics achievement in class. The parents with higher educational background are more encouraged to pay more attention to their children's learning mathematics contest.(8) teachers believe that the mathematical competition can stimulate student interest, develop students' horizons, training students thinking, improve the student's math scores, and promote the growth of students.
