Key competencies has been paid much attention since it was put forward, the profound social background is that the society in which we live is changing from the industrial age to the economic era, It is some multiple factors, such as science and technology, the rapid development of globalization, economic growth, multi culture,sustainable development of environment, professional needs, paying more attention to people's physical and mental development that make people to reflect on the educational goals.This Thesis focuses on the Australian national curriculum standards based on key competencies. It analyzes the development of national curriculum standard process and methods based on key competencies, the framework of the national curriculum standards, the national curriculum standard arrangement, the relationship between the key competencies and the subject curriculum, and how the key competencies reflected the core subject of English, mathematics, science, history, the new curriculum value and characteristics, to provide suggestions for the reform of our country curriculum standards based on key competencies.This Thesis contains four parts. The first part analyzes the origin of Australian national curriculum standards based on key competencies, the background of key competencies, the reasons for the combination of key competencies and Australian national curriculum standards. The second part is the development and implementation process analysis of Australian national curriculum standards based on key competencies. It is divided into three stages: the conception of curriculum standards, the writing of curriculum standards, the preparation and implementation of curriculum standards. The third part is the text analysis of Australian national curriculum standards based on key competencies. It mainly analyzes the value orientation of national curriculum standards based on key competencies,the framework of national curriculum standards based on key competencies, and the embodiment of key competencies in national curriculum standards. This Thesis selects English, mathematics, science and history four main subjects, to deeply analyze the embodied characteristics of the key competencies in the subject curriculum standards. The last part is the enlightenment of Australian national curriculum standards based on key competencies. It points out the problems existing in the current curriculum standards in our country, summarizes the experience and puts forward the enlightenments from the analysis of the national curriculum standards based on key competencies.
