Sixty senior students of grade 2 from arts and science experimental class of certain middle school were chosen as the research object.This thesis tries to analyze the results of test and interview,identifies students’ learning effect and the existing problems in the learning process of Plane Analytic Geometry,puts forward the corresponding evaluation and teaching suggestions.Thus,it provides reference for the general education workers to evaluate students’ learning situation.What’s more,it can directly help students understand and improve themselves better.The student’s situation of learning in Plane Analytic Geometry are as follows: as for computing ability,the level of the liberal arts class students is lower than that in science class,and the overall level is low;students in liberal arts class are more diverse in problem solving methods,however,due to the effect of the current plane analytic geometry knowledge,the vast majority of the students adopt conventional methods of Plane Analytic Geometry,only a few students have a breakthrough.In addition,the classification discuss ideas of students in liberal arts and science class are weak;the solid degree of knowledge of science class students is superior to the liberal arts class students,therefore,they have a more accurate characterization to the problem,and their answers are more precise.Moreover,both the students’ learning motivation and intention of learning Plane Analytic Geometry,and the self-monitor situation in the process of learning are not very ideal.Finally,most of the students don’t know what is the actual utility of Plane Analytic Geometry.
