"I" High School Life: The Moral Review Of Ordinary High School Life

In the education research,moral education has been one of the important fields.In resent years,life-orientated moral education has jumped across the boundaries of traditional moral education and gained certain effects in educational theories and practices.Taking students' life as resource for moral education in school, has become a new and effective approach to implementing moral education.Guided by the college entrance examination, students' school life in high school is totally different from their junior middle school or primary school. Could the high school life meet the students' needs of moral development? According to the academic background and research interests, the author conducted a qualitative research in a high school with the student sample located in city N to present their living statement and do a moral scanning about it,which also discovered the changes and growth of students in their school life. The author neither doing theoretical exploration about life-orientated moral education nor absorbed in specific educational practice, but standing on the position of students to describe their life and show their moral development in school life.From the angle of the relationship between students and the physical world to their inner world, this article begins with institutionalized life which is restricted by school norms, reveals the school life formed by time and space arranges, institutionalized learning and extracurricular activities, and show the restriction&freedom bought by this kind of life. Secondly, the article transits to the view of students' interpersonal relationship, describing the communicating life, including the teacher-student interaction and student-student communication, to reveal students' affection and conflict in community life, which is important for their moral development. Thirdly, the article focus on students' spiritual world and their meaningful life. Which means how students do the meaning interpretation and self construction, to reveal the prominent contradictions in the growth and the wishes of students in school life. At the end of this article,the author summarized the ideas and contents of the above, and hope the students could get higher quality school life which can help them grow healthily and become a excellent adult.By showing the high school life, the author wants to reflect these followings:high school is an important period of students' moral development.Under the current education system, students' moral life should not be squeezed mercilessly.Educators should deeply understand students' school life,truly understand their living statement and their thoughts,dig the resources of moral education as much as possible in the limited space of school education, and care for the integrated development of students and promote their moral development.
