With the development and perfection of Chinese textbooks,illustrations in Chinese textbooks for primary school from the aspects of quantity,color and type have greatly improved.They have became more and more important.The teachers and students should arouse the attention of the textbook illustrations.Education in the Republic of China has a wide range of characteristics.The language teaching materials in the layout of different characteristics,which is a bright point in the textbook illustrations.The primary language reading of the period of the Republic of China and the current teaching edition Chinese textbooks for primary school are used as the research objects.We compared them on their illustrations' s quantity,content-fit,location,finally put forward the optimization of textbook illustrations.We hope the study will be helpful to today's Chinese teaching.The paper is divided into five parts:Introduction: this part mainly discusses the reason and significance of this topic,the history and current situation of domestic and foreign related research,and research ideas and methods.The first chapter : this chapter respectively introduces the basic situation of the primary language reading of the period of the Republic of China and the current teaching edition Chinese textbooks for primary school.The use of the situation as well as the overall characteristics of the two sets of teaching materials are introduced.It also introduces the basic situation and characteristics of the two sets of textbook illustrations from three aspects,the quantity and distribution,the content and classification,the location and distribution of illustration.The second chapter : this chapter will use the comparative analysis method to carry on the objective comparison analysis to the two sets of teaching materials,separately from the illustration number,illustrations and text content fit degree,illustrations of the location and distribution of three aspects to compare,which will cite specific examples to illustrate.By comparing the similarities and differences between the two sets of textbooks,find out their strengths and weaknesses,learn from each other,to improve the contemporary teaching materialsThe third chapter : this chapter is combined with my education practice experience.Using the questionnaire survey method to investigate the current situation of the use of Chinese teaching materials in primary school.I designed the questionnaire for teachers and students.Through the survey of two types of objects.We find the primary school language teaching materials in the teaching of the problems and deficiencies,which cause our thinking.The fourth chapter : Based on the problems,the corresponding optimization suggestions are put forward.I suggest the language teachers and the language textbook writers who should pay more attention on the textbook illustrations.
