Through historical documents, questionnaire survey method and interview method, from four dimensions as chemical basic knowledge and skill, chemical learning method, attitude towards chemistry and its development, and chemical application in daily life, found chemical literacy of senior high school students have the following problems: students' basic knowledge is on the rise with increasing years of learning chemistry, but the students' interest in chemistry is diminishing gradually; students' attention and application of chemistry is generally low; the reading of Chemistry Journals or magazines is in poor condition; many students do not pay enough attention to the scientific literacy related columns; most of students can not take the initiative to think deeply about the problem. Based on the existence of the above problems, in order to find out the learning theory, constructivism and STSE thoughts as the theoretical basis, in the basis of analysis of the basis of organic chemistry, knowledge, put forward the following teaching strategy: to improve the learning interest of the students, give full play to students' subjective initiative; create situations, pay attention to their knowledge construction; development of STSE Curriculum Resources, and improve the students' chemical literacy; the use of modern information technology, enhance the chemical quality of students. According to the characteristics of the knowledge in module of basic organic chemistry, respectively to the structure characteristics of organic compounds, halogenated hydrocarbons and carbohydrates for example show implementation of teaching strategies. After the implementation of the teaching strategy, through the interviews with individual students found that students have more interest in chemistry, visionis more open, the chemical literacy of students has been greatly improved. Hope to give some reference to more senior high school chemistry teachers and scholars.
