| As a tool of math learning, mathematical communication attracted the extensive attention when it has been put forward. It could be divided into verbal communication and written communication which is more helpful for math thinking,because written communication could effectively develop students’ construction ability of metacognition frame.Many math teachers and math education researchers made a lot of experiment and research on mathematical writing;they believed that mathematical writing was of value and significance in math learning,and classified mathematical writing,thus,proposed a series of practical models and created various evaluation methods of mathematical writing in order to improve students’ mathematical writing ability specifically.Though more and more teachers realize the value of mathematical writing and then apply it to practice,but the forms focus on diary and mathematical reflection,few people use mathematical writing in mathematical problem solving.Moreover,in present evaluation methods,most of teachers get used to provide integrative evaluation,few use formative assessment.There was plenty of domestic research on mathematical writing,few people made research on mathematical writing of problem solving in experimented exploration,fewer people made research on using formative assessment in mathematical writing of problem solving.The research scope of mathematical writing was too narrow,which resulted in weak applicability of writing in mathematics.The integrative evaluation was less helpful to teach student mathematical writing,students could not specifically correct mistakes in writing,all above would make students feel difficult to grasp and use mathematical writing,therefore,which was bad for training students’ mathematical writing skills.The application research on using formative assessment in mathematical writing of problem solving will make a great significance on the teaching and learning.The study here could be separated into two parts which are experimental research and teaching research.In experimental research,in a case study of an ordinary high school in Jining,after summarizing the template and requirement of the mathematical problem solving writing,creating the standard and means of formative assessment,describing the procedures and processes of using formative assessment in mathematical writing of problem solving in detail,author focused on whether it could enhance fresh students’ mathematical writing skills,through exerting influence on students’ mathematical writing of problem solving by a series of formative assessment. The result showed that formative assessment could solve targeted problems in mathematical writing and make students clear about the writing content and requirements, accordingly,students could have a good command of mathematical writing in sort of problem solving, and students’ skills of mathematical writing was enhanced.At the end of the experimental research,the author developed teaching practice in the affiliated high school of Shandong Normal University for three months,selected typical mathematical problems to let students practice writing after some new lessons and training lessons,and made assessment on it in order to make students be proficient in mathematical writing and exert effects of mathematical writing in problem solving.The study proved that students would consciously use mathematical writing as an effective tool of math learning,and their abilities of mathematical problem solving were improved,as they enhanced their mathematical writing skills. |
