Research On Deng Xiaoping's Party Building Thought In The New Period

Since the Third Plenary Session of the 11 th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC)in 1978,China has entered the new historical period of reform and opening-up and socialist modernization drive.China has witnessed remarkable achievements in socialist undertakings with Chinese characteristics,which fundamentally owes to the leadership of the CPC guided by the thought of Party Building initiated by Deng Xiaoping.The theory comes from practice and guides the development of practice.The Deng Xiaoping thought of the Party building in the new period is a scientific and complete theoretical system,which constitutes an important part of Deng Xiaoping Theory.The thought is the product of combining Marxist-Leninist Party Building Theory with the concrete practices of China’s social reform,the inheritance,enrichment and development of Mao Zedong Party Building Thought in the new historical background and the theoretical result of the Marxism Party Building with Chinese Characteristics in the new period of reform and opening up.As the report of the 19 th Communist Party of China National Congress indicates,“As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,our Party must get a new look and make new accomplishments.As the saying goes,it takes a good blacksmith to make good steel.For the Party to unite the people and lead them in carrying out our great struggle,advancing our great cause,and realizing our great dream,we must unwaveringly uphold and improve Party leadership and make the Party still stronger.” That is a requirement and task facing our Party building in the current stage.At present,with the deepening reform and opening up and the developing socialist market economy,the Party building confronts new situations,new contradictions and new problems,urging the Party and the government to resolve with great efforts.All these are similar to the situation that the Party faced in the early period of reform and opening up.Therefore,the deep research on Deng Xiaoping’s Party Building Thought not only has a far-reaching effect on reviewing its historic roles,but has a significant value both in theory and reality on strengthening the Party building and an all-out effort to enforce strict Party discipline under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core.This thesis will illustrate from the four perspectives:Chapter 1 explores the theoretical origin of Deng Xiaoping Party Building Thought.This part respectively discusses the theoretical foundation of Deng Xiaoping Party Building Thought from the Party building theory of Marx and Engels,Lenin and Mao Zedong,as well as their inspirations on Deng Xiaoping Thought in the new period.That will lay a solid foundation for a systematic research of Deng Xiaoping Party Building Thought in the new period.Chapter 2 illustrates the main content and features of Deng Xiaoping Party Building Thought in the new period.First of all,the thought is concluded into five parts: reestablishing the Party’s ideological line of seeking truth from facts,strengthening the Party Building in accordance with the Party’s political line,the organizational line depending on good successors,the importance of system construction,as well as intensifying the government integrity and anti-corruption.In addition,this chapter concludes the three features on a macro level based on the deep analysis of Deng Xiaoping Party Building thought,that is,far-sighted strategy,sharp insight on crux and emphasis on system construction.All these provide us with a guideline on comprehensive,multi-perspective and deep research on Deng Xiaoping Party Building thought in the new period.Chapter 3 illustrates the theoretical value and practical role of Deng Xiaoping Party Building Thought in the new period.This part is also the major innovation of the thesis.It indicates that the thought in the new period provides a theoretical value on the enrichment and development of the Marxist Party Building Theory,as well as the demonstrative role on the Socialist Party Building Theory with Chinese characteristics.Meanwhile,that will have a significant inspiration on the social Party building practices with Chinese characteristics of the enforcement to strict Party discipline under the leadership of the Centre Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core,thus advancing the development of the new project of the Party Building.
