In the context of economic globalization,transnational corporations have increasingly become an important subject of international economic activities.While transnational corporations provide capital and technical support to host countries,many social responsibility issues have also come one after another in its wake,such as infringement of consume rights and of laborers’ interests,product quality defects,severe environmental pollution,and unfair competition.How to effectively regulate the social responsibility of transnational corporations has become a hot spot in the international communities.This paper first introduces the connotations of the corporate social responsibility,the origin of the theory,the definition of the above connotations put forward by various scholars,and the specific contents of the social responsibility of the multinational corporations.Second,this thesis intends to sort out the current relevant legislation on the social responsibility of transnational corporations,including international legal regulation and domestic legal regulation.Then,this paper will try to list the specific manifestations of the weakening of social responsibility of transnational corporations,and analyze the reasons for their emergence.On this basis,the author proposes that at the international level,cooperation should be strengthened and the transformation of international norms should be promoted.At the domestic level,proposals should be made to improve the legislative system and increase enforcement efforts. |
