The adjustment of administrative divisions is closely related to the social and economic development. The study of after the reform and opening up,the spatial and temporal characteristics of China's administrative divisions provide scientific basis and decision-making support for better adjustment of administrative divisions in the future.Based on the data of China's administrative divisions from 1978 to 2013,this paper quantitatively studies the changes of the administrative numbers of China's prefectures and counties since the reform and opening up,at the same time, using the spatial analysis methods such as kernel density analysis and centroid analysis to study the evolution rule of county administrative unit type in space and time. This paper considers thatl.Since 1978,the number of prefecture-level cities in the administrative division has increased,After 2003 to be stable. The number of municipal districts has increased significantly, the number of counties has been gradually reduced,County-level city has increased,to 1997 the number began to decline,After 2003,the number of county-level administrative divisions has not changed significantly From 2.From 1978 to 2013 county-level administrative units in the county-level cities and municipal districts on the sporadic distribution of sporadic distribution to the accumulation of part of the process.1978-2013 county-level cities and municipal districts the number of mass center shift from north to south process 3.1978-2013 county-level cities and municipal districts in the "Hu Huanyong line" on both sides of a roughly proportional value, northwest and southeast Quantity ratio 1:9.4.This paper argues that the reform and opening up,the change of administrative districts is mainly divided into 5 categories, organizational change, change, change, change the membership change and provincial administrative transfer station set up unit.5.Through a series of demographic and economic indicators of the administrative division at the county level spatial distribution study found that administrative divisions spatial distribution by multiple factors, population and economic indicators of administrative region spatial distribution plays a decisive role, but the proportion of non-agricultural population, population urbanization rate, total population index plays influence factors. This paper is divided into six chapters to carry on the research on the administrativedivision after the reform and opening up the discussion:the first chapter:introduction, mainly introduces the research and innovation of the research background and research significance, research status, research content, research technique and this article. The second chapter mainly introduces the data sources, data processing and analysis methods used in this paper. In the third chapter, the author expounds the evolution pattern of administrative divisions after the reform and opening up in china. The fourth chapter introduces the characteristics of the spatial and temporal evolution of administrative regionalization in China after the reform and opening up.The fifth chapter, the use of geographic detection methods of population and economic indicators of administrative divisions spatial distribution are explained, the temporal and spatial distribution of administrative divisions are affected by multiple factors, including non agriculture population, total population, population urbanization rate has the effect on administrative divisions. The sixth chapter is the conclusion and deficiency.
