The Evolution And Shaping Of The Peasants' Political Consciousness Since The Reform And Opening Up

China is a large agricultural country and the number of peasant account for the majority of the countrys population,the level of modernization of peasant determines the overall level of our country.In order to achieve the political development of the country and the countryside,it is necessary to improve the level of the peasant'modernization."Modernization is a multifaceted process which involves changes in all areas of human thought and behavior." The improvement of people's ideology and the consequent change of the behavior mode are the remarkable signs of human modernization.Therefore,the modernization of the thinking modes of peasant is the inevitable requirement of national modernization.As a deep cognitive structure which is based on the accumulation of value cognition,the political consciousness determines the tendency and the way of farmers' behavior.It is also the spiritual basis of the benign operation and coordinated development of the country and even the whole country.It is of profound theoretical and practical significance to explore the evolution and law of peasant's political consciousness since the reform and opening up,and to reveal its current situation.Since the founding of new China,especially since the reform and opening up,Chinese society is undergoing profound changes,everybody can feel the trend but no one owns comprehensive and accurate understanding of the process and direction.With the all-round transformation of society,the peasant's idea has also undergone great changes.However,it has not yet formed a form of consciousness which adapted and provided the internal motive force to the development of the society.The modernization level of peasants' political awareness has not reached the requirement of economic and social development.In order to implement the advanced system design with its original spirit and value pursuit,we must shape the peasant's political consciousness.Specifically,the changes which reflected in the institutional structure of rural areas,peasant structure,culture and peasant's life style has caused the differentiation of peasant's interests and the reconfiguration of rural social infrastructure.The unprecedented change in the countryside makes the political consciousness of the peasants begin to change.In this process,the subjectivity,rationality and initiative of farmers' political consciousness have been strengthened,which contains a feature of modernity is the main characters of the evolution.But what can not be ignored is that the difference of political trust,utilitarian consciousness and the weakening of the concept of public opinion still exist and hinder the modernization of peasants' political consciousness.Therefore,it is a necessity to make the peasants' political consciousness accord with the requirement of economic and social development.Based on the above considerations,this paper discusses the realization of the modernization of peasant' political consciousness.In the introduction part,we introduce the significance of this study,and gives a brief review of the research status.The chapter 2 completes the definition of related concepts and introduces the theoretical basis of the analysis.The chapter 3 includes the characteristics and problems of the evolution of peasant's political consciousness.The reasons of the evolution are summarized in the chapter 4.In the chapter 5,we put forward some suggestions to shape peasant's political consciousness.Through the writing of this paper,the author hopes to provide a useful point of view for the comprehensive understanding of peasant's political awareness and arouse people's attention to peasant and rural areas.
