Building The East Asian Consensus And China's Responsibility

There is a common understanding in East Asia today,but the level of common knowledge in East Asia is not high enough.The common culture shared ideas and collective identity construction is relatively weak,even there is no clear East Asian identity or East Asian concept.Although the meaning of the East Asian consensus is not clear and unified,its formation is also constantly groping,the construction of the East Asian consensus is related to the development of the whole East asia.This paper argues that East Asian countries have the same origin,construction of East Asia common conditions,but there are still impediments.In the era of globalization,facing many common difficulties and challenges,East Asian countries need to strengthen mutual dependence and strengthen common sense of fate,and realize that only by establishing consensus can a virtuous interaction and cooperation be achieved,so as to better promote the development of East asia.In this process,China,as a major power in East Asia,plays an important role in East Asian cooperation,and it needs to shoulder more responsibilities and play a corresponding role.The construction of the East Asian consensus and its strengthening and deepening should also become an important part of China’s participation in regional integration.
