| Article 55 of the Consumer Law of the People’s Republic of China stipulates that the punitive damages system stipulated in Article 49 of the Consumer Law of the People’s Republic of China shall be amended in 1994 to make the system of punitive damages in the field of consumer rights protection more operational and increase the illegal cost.Great progress.But since the implementation of the revised consumer law,although further purify the market environment,but there are still problems such as consumer subject unclear,subjective fault narrow range,the amount of compensation to be further refined and other issues to be addressed.This paper analyzes the current situation and problems of punitive damages in the protection of consumer rights in China,and puts forward some suggestions to perfect the system of punitive damages in the protection of consumers’ rights and interests in our country. |
