| As the first proletarian party in the world, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) led people of the Soviet Union in the fierce struggles against and the domestic and foreign reactionary forces, ending up with setting up the Soviet Regime. However, it is thought-provoking that CPSU collapsed suddenly after 74 years in power. Scholars have given various opinions about why CPSU suffered such a failure, but no one can deny the fact that corruption within CPSU was key to its total failure. At present, to study corruption from the perspective of CPSU defeated is of highly significance to the anti-corruption of the Communist Party of China (CPC) against the backdrop of comprehensively promoting the improvement of government conduct and opposing corruption.CPSU was once the world’s model for the construction and development of the proletarian party, and it helped CPC a lot in its establishment. Therefore, CPC and CPSU share quite much to some degree. It is not only an academic issue but also a political and realistic issue to analyze deeply the causes for the great defeat of CPSU. Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, CPC has ushered in the era of anti-corruption and the advocate of clean conduct. We need to reflect on how to avoid the suffering of CPSU. Based on this, the paper, under the guidance of Marxist theory of party building, explains the solutions for CPC opposing corruption with the internal CPSU corruptions as the breakthrough point. To begin with, the first chapter of introduction summarizes the party construction theory of Marxism, and because the ultimate purpose of this study is to provide countermeasures for China’s current anti-corruption work, the part of theory in the paper summarizes the core viewpoints of CPC leading carders about the anti-corruption work. The second chapter discusses the corruption of the CPSU in terms of different aspects, analyzing the corruption in the different ruling periods of CPSU, listing the specific forms of corruption in the party, exploring the causes from the angles of the highly centralized political management mode, the planned economic system, economic elite, rule of law and supervision, listing the specific forms of corruption in the party, and fully expounding the corruption of CPSU. The third chapter focuses on the in-depth analysis of the harm of the corruption on the work of party building and socialist construction and the international community both as a starting point, mainly from aspects of the ruling capacity, party and social conduct, mass base and social reform, and demonstrates how CPSU was brought to the collapse gradually due to the internal corruption. The fourth chapter as the highlight of the paper, explores the enlightenments CPC can draw from the collapse of CPSU because of corruption. Based on the experience of CPSU this chapter also analyzes the precautions against corruption for CPC currently from aspects of thought, system, law, the great mass and the global anti-corruption, promoting the deepening of CPC anti-corruption to avoid the suffering of CPSU, build a clean party and realize the goal of prolonged stability of the country. |
