Through the combing of the gaze theory and the female integration's changing in the female image in the western art works,this paper explains the “What do women look like in art”,and the female artists how to resist the gaze and build their own voice.At first,Chapter 1 of the article try to establishe the meaning of gaze at the cultural research level,and combines the female images of the art works with Sutter,Lacan and Foucault's gaze theory,and put forward that women have became the oprpessed objects in “gaze”.The second chapter geleralizes the proccess of the famale images' evollution in the history of art,and investigates the female images in the each period,and through analysis the typiccal art works in different periods to disscuss the female images' changing when they are regarded as objects in gaze.The third chapter focuses on the explanation of the influence of the rise of Feminism on the art theory.Nochlin and Pollock and others' reflection on art history not only provides a new possibility for the research direction of art history.,Their theory has influenced the artistic creation of female artists,female artists began to use the way of body symbolization and transfering female perceptual characteristics to resist the image of objects in the art,it is possible for modern female artists to reshape their status in art history.
