| Moral judgment is essentially a highly conscious and autonomous reasoning process which can reflect the self-consciousness.It has been found that emotions have an important influence on moral judgment. But the research on the effect of emotion on moral judgment mainly focuses on the effect of emotional valence. It has been found that the motivation dimension of emotion plays a key role in cognitive process. Therefore,it is necessary to discuss the effect of emotional motive dimension on moral judgment. The concept of self-involvement refers to the degree of association between the individual’s psychology and the environment.According to previous research, selfinvolvement has an important influence on moral judgment.Researchers believe that individuals have emotional reactions when they are involved in personal involvement situation.Individuals have little or no emotional reactions when they are involved in impersonal involvement situation. The researchers put forward the moral dual processing model. There are two kinds of moral processing.People start the automatic processes when they are involved in personal involvement.Moral judgment relies on emotional information.People start the controlled processes when they are involved in impersonal involvement. It doesn’t depend on emotional information. This study designed two experiments to explore the influence of emotional motivation dimension on moral judgment. At the same time,we explore the interaction between emotional motivation dimension and self-involvement.The first experiment is the effect of approaching positive emotions of different motivational intensity. The second experiment is the effect of different withdrawing negative emotion on moral judgment.experiments were designed with two factors of 2x2.The study used picture paradigm to induce emotion. After inducing emotion, the subjects were asked to answer the moral dilemmas. The situation is divided into personal involvement situations and impersonal involvement situations. The results show that the motive dimension of emotion plays a key role in moral judgment.(1)Different motivation intensity of approaching positive emotion have significant influence on moral judgment. The higher the motivation intensity of approaching positive emotion, the higher the acceptance of moral judgment. There is an interaction between motivation intensity and self-involvement.In personal involvement situations, the higher the motivation intensity of approaching positive emotion, the higher the moral acceptance level. In impersonal involvement situations, emotional intensity does not affect moral judgment.(2)Different motivation intensity of withdrawing negative emotion have significant influence on moral judgment. The higher the motivation intensity of withdrawing negative emotion, the lower the acceptance of moral judgment. There is an interaction between motivation intensity and self-involvement.In personal involvement situations, the higher the motivation intensity of withdrawing negative, the higher the moral acceptance level. In impersonal involvement situations, emotional intensity does not affect moral judgment. |
